Cars debuted on June 9, 2006, and tells the story of Lighting McQueen, a fast-tracking racecar whose outlook on life gets a tune-up when he takes an unplanned detour in a sleepy little town along Route 66 called radiator Springs. Befriended by Mater, a rusty old tow truck with an engine of gold, Lighting learns the value of friendship - and hits the road to true success.
