Qui-Gon Jinn, portrayed by Liam Neeson, is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe. He is one of the primary characters in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. In Star Wars fiction, Qui-Gon is best known as the mentor of the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, as well as the one who discovers Anakin Skywalker, who later becomes Darth Vader.
