A volcano is a weak spot in the Earth's crust where hot, melting rocks rise to the surface.  There are about 600 active volcanoes on Earth!

Journey to the Center of the Earth is a 2008 American 3-D science fiction adventure film starring Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutcherson, and Anita Briem. It refers to and may be considered a 21st-century sequel to the 19th-century novel of the same name by Jules Verne. It is the first film in the Journey film series.

On a quest to find out what happened to his missing brother, a scientist, his nephew and their mountain guide discover a fantastic and dangerous lost world in the center of the earth
